Peter Tinits
PETER TINITS is a medical doctor, trained in Canada and New Zealand. He has practiced as an emergency physician, anesthesiologist and coroner. Peter is the author of the Matthias Kork, Investigating Coroner series. As an admirer of mid-twentieth century noir fiction, his writing is laced with gallows humour and authentic detail. There are three books in the series so far.
A CAUSE and MANNER, published in 2020, was the first entry. A sleep-deprived anesthesiologist consults his friends on dealing severely with his wife’s lover. Suspense, dark humour and physicians behaving badly.
An UNDETERMINED MANNER of DEATH, published in 2023, was the second. The attractive beneficiary of a new life insurance policy promotes a homicide verdict to the coroner investigating her father’s apparent suicide. It features features a humorous blend of lying, cheating, killing and domestic drama.
A HOMICIDAL MANNER, the third in the series, was published in 2024. Dr. Kork’s inquiries into a death on a passenger train attract attention from domestic and foreign intelligence services. His efforts to discover the cause and manner of death do not go smoothly or unpunished. The reader will find travel, romance and assassinations.
Peter has also written an accretion of graphic (illustrated) poetry entitled MILLENNIUM LAMENT. Rupi Kaur for your father.
