Ed Whitfield is a film and theatre critic. He blogs on a wide range of issues from the arts to politics, by way of iconic adland superstar, the Just Eat Chicken Madras Girl.
His debut novel, Murder by the Bottle, is a Cornish Noir – a delicious blend of art, wine, and homicidal lunacy that’s reading very well now. The novel is a psychological character study and mediation on the way crime is repackaged and fictionalised for mass consumption, after the fact.
Novels 2 and 3 are in the drawer. With his readers’ help Ed hopes to transfer them to the nation’s shelf.
Ed has an MLitt in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow, and is an alumni of Faber’s Writing a Novel Programme.
