Damien Echols

Life after Death

Published by: Atlantic Books

In 1994 the author was found guilty of being the ringleader of three teenagers accused of murdering three 8-year-old boys in Arkansas. The trial was marked by tampered evidence, false testimony and public hysteria. As the eldest (he was just 18 by the time of the trial), Damien was sentenced to death, and spent 18 years on Death Row before he was freed on a plea deal.
