Kate Simants

Lock Me In

Kate Simants spent ten years working in factual TV production for the BBC and Channel 4, then jacked it all in to pursue her love of writing. She completed an MA in creative writing at Brunel under the tutelage of Fay Weldon before leaving London to bring up a family on a Dutch barge on the river Avon near Bristol. Informed by her experiences undercover and of working with the police, her crime novels explore ideas of personal identity, how we create and perceive it, and how it can be manipulated or controlled. Kate is a committed faddist, and is currently mad keen on Crossfit, crochet and Georgian folk singing.
