The Makoto Murders is a noir thriller set in Tokyo. A mixed-race photographer from the gutter press embarks on a series of murders in a tale that is somewhere between Nightcrawler and The ABC Murders.

Richard Jerram is a second-year student on the UEA’s MA Creative Writing Crime Fiction course. He embarked on a new career as a crime fiction writer after years of using his doctorate from the LSE to work as an economist in London, Tokyo and Singapore. Richard enjoys exploring the hidden elements of self and society which give rise to intriguing scenarios for the genre.
