Anastasia lives on the Sunshine Coast in Australia with her husband and daughter. Her mother says she was dragged around rather than brought up. Anastasia was born in Canada, grew up in various parts of England and came to Australia when she was 15. Since then she has continued to move around. She has lived in a few different places around the country and spent a year in Abu Dhabi. She enjoys the darker aspects of life, which is probably why she became a high school teacher. Apart from crime, Anastasia also writes for children.
