Tom was born in Hamilton in Scotland, and has written just about all of his life. Over the past thirty years he has been a social worker in mental health. He writes text books, reports, and guidance for mental health professionals; however, it is in his literary world he feels he has found his passion. Through novels, short stories, plays, songs and poems, he has also found his voice and, he believes, a new career. The Father is his first major literary work; however, he is now seriously into a follow up.
