Leslie and Jonesy live in Cottage 5, in a village of nearly eight hundred orphans outside Glasgow. It is a grim place, but is about to become much worse once the murders begin. The authenticity of the story is chilling; it is based on the memories of the author’s mother, who grew up in the Quarriers Homes in the 1960s.
