Mirandi Riwoe is a PhD candidate and tutor at QUT in Brisbane, Australia. She loves reading and writing crime fiction and, as her father is Indonesian-Chinese, she finds it appealing to portray characters with culturally hybridized identities. She won a position at the Northern Rivers Writers’ Centre mentored residency to work on her first crime novel and in 2014 she was awarded a fellowship at Varuna, The National Writers House.
