Augusta Dwyer

The Swankeeper’s Wife

Augusta Dwyer: I am the author of four non-fiction books, but this is my first novel. For many years, I have worked as a journalist in Canada and in Latin America. I grew up near Stratford, Canada, but have lived most of my life in Toronto.

THE SWANKEEPER’S WIFE

It is the summer of 1954, and when Betty Crawford is found floating in the Avon River in the small, rural city of Arden, few mourn her passing. Local reporter Daniel Connor is drawn into the investigation of her murder, at the same time as he must deal with the conflicts and contradictions within his own life.
