We offer:

• Structural/developmental editing
  This is usually charged at a rate per 1,000 words.
  Our editors are crime fiction specialists, and in many cases are themselves agents or published crime writers. All our editors are experienced, encouraging and expert.

• Structural editing/critique hybrid
  If you have specific questions about your novel, and perhaps need tailored editing input rather than a full-novel edit, we can provide this too. It costs more than a critique, but less than a full structural edit.

• Copy-editing
  At one time, you wouldn’t have needed this prior to submitting to an agent or publisher. Now submissions are so competitive, having a copy-edited MS puts you at a big advantage. It’s also useful for competition entries, whether full novels or short stories. The rate is per 1,000 words. We’re also happy to copy-edit just a novel opening at a fixed fee; contact us for rates. Of course, if you’re publishing independently, then this is an essential edit for your full novel, novella or short story.

• Submission package special
  We’ll give a developmental view of your novel opening up to 10,000 words, and your synopsis and query letter. We return these to you for your revisions, then copy-edit your final draft. Cost: £350.
