Bertie and the Crime of Passion
Peter Lovesey
Works of: Fiction
Originally published in 1993, this third volume of Bertie’s memoirs has been reissued a number of times and most recently in 2019 by Soho Press (USA). The Prince of Wales makes a trip to Paris in 1891 and investigates murders in the company of Sarah Bernhardt, an investigation that takes them to the Moulin Rouge and many other places of entertainment. As always in his cases, the crimes are satisfactorily solved in spite of his best efforts to muddy the Seine.
